Nancy Tafuri (Mattioli)

Nancy Tafuri, 84, passed away January 27, 2023. Born in Sicily, Italy, she lived most of her life in the Akron area.

Nancy was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. She enjoyed playing cards, bocci ball and cooking.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and Sunday dinners with the kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Mattioli and Angelo Tafuri; parents, Antonio and Grace Scafiti; four sisters, one brother; granddaughter, Tiffany Tilenni.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tony) Tilenni; sons, Anthony (Angie) Mattioli, Steven (Dottie) Mattioli, Mario (Michele) Mattioli; brother in law, Vincent Sgro; grandchildren, Brandon (Kayla) Mattioli, Anthony II (Savannah) Tilenni, Kara Mattioli, Taylor Mattioli, Rachel Mattioli, Olivia Mattioli; great grandchildren, Amelia Tilenni, Julia Tilenni, Luciana Mattioli and Sofia Mattioli (to be born May, 2023) and  many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family also wishes to thank the entire staff of the Village of St. Edwards at Green and Northeast Ohio Hospice for all the love and care they showed our Mom. We will never forget any of you. God Bless you all.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the following, Northeast Ohio Hospice, St. Edward of Green, Our Lady of Victory, or the Tiffany Marie Tilenni Memorial Scholarship at any PNC Bank branch location.

Visitation will be 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian burial will follow visitation at NOON at Our lady of Victory Church 75 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on Our Lady of Victory's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ourladyofvictorychurchtallmadge/.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
