Patricia "Pat" A (Zofchak) Kindig

Together Again - Patricia A. Kindig, 85, passed away December 13, 2024. Born in Akron on February 15, 1939, she lived 50 years in Cuyahoga Falls, before moving to Atwater 17 years ago, finding their "Country Home".

Patricia was married to her high school sweetheart, Richard for 66 years. They raised their four children together and took many vacations around the United States, enjoying the National Parks and historical sites. Patricia was a member of St. Peter of the Fields and prior was a member of St. Joseph in Cuyahoga Falls where she belonged to the Women's guild.

She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers and roses. Pat also enjoyed canning for her family and sewing. She loved dogs and horses and would care for all who crossed her path. Patricia's passion was horses. She enjoyed them as a child with her dad, Michael.  She rode on all vacations with her daughters.  She attained her own horses, Sundance, Geymara and Miss Dude later in life.  Patricia helped in the Ohio horse 4H program and was a member of the Medina Chapter of the Ohio Horse Council for many years, helping clear trails and riding in the parades.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, Anna and Michael Zofchak; sister, Rose Marie Vasuta; and grandson, Benjamin Kindig.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Roy) Fuller and Lynn (Greg) Schott both of Tallmadge; sons, Richard A. Kindig, Jr.  of Atwater and Michael Kindig of Aurora; grandchildren, Nathan Fuller of Tallmadge, Megan (Patrick) Walch of Columbus, Emiley Schott of Akron, Kayla Kindig of Cleveland, Nadia, Dylan and Elise Kindig of Aurora; great grandchildren, Ezekiel Walch and Malachi Walch; sister, Margaret Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Private service has been held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
