Patricia "Patti" Ruth (Sharp) Britt

Patricia (Patti) Ruth (Sharp) Britt 92, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side and into the arms of Jesus on April 3, 2024.

Pat was born on June 2, 1931 to Joseph R. and Mary C. (Hartzog) Sharp in Pontiac, Michigan.  She graduated from Neveda Ohio High School as a senior year cheerleader.  Pat moved to Lima, Ohio to live with her grandparents, Roscoe and Freda Sharp, where she met Bob the boy next door.  They married on March 29, 1952 and moved to Akron in 1958.  Pat was the most wonderful mother to her four children.  She retired from O'Neil's (Chapel Hill).  She was a former member and organist of Trinity United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls and was pianist for the choir. Pat also played piano for the Mothersingers Group who performed at local senior centers.  She volunteered for Mobile Meals and helped serve dinners at Open M for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; son, Dennis; grandsons, Jeremiah and David; and brother, William (Bill) Sharp.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Debra (Al) Schrader; sons, Greg Britt and Ricky Britt; grandchildren, Troy Garrett, Brandon Garrett (mom Debra), Daniel britt (dad Greg), Chad, Kurtis, Deanna and Matthew Britt (dad Ricky), Sandie Britt and Kyle Britt (dad Dennis); great grandchildren, Mallory and Jackson Garrett, Kylie and Landon Garrett, Aubrianna and Luna Britt; nephew, Bill (Guyneth) Sharp of Wilmette, Illinois, and cousins, Robert (Diane) Shultz of South Bend, Indiana.

Pat was always a positive, uplifting person and loving friend to everyone she met.  She was an "adoptive" mother to dear family friends Christy Hamill and Carl Summers both of Akron.

A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on May 11, 2024 at 12 noon at Tallmadge United Methodist Church, 207 N. Munroe Rd., Tallmadge with Pastor Scott Low conducting services.

At Pat's request cremation has taken place, interment will be at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

In honor of Pat, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Summit County, OPEN M, or Mobile Meals.
