Paul Falasca
Paul Falasca, passed away April 19, 2015. He was born June 4, 1929 in Carovilli, Italy and immigrated to Akron, Ohio in 1947. Paul worked as a laborer for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, the Bellows Valvair Company, and retired from the City of Akron as a mason for the Highway Department.
Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy; his beloved son, John; his parents, Giuseppe and Filomena; his brother, Nick; and his twin sister, Annita Putaturo.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Josephine (Bill) Dickey and Tony (Joanne) Falasca; grandchildren, Emily (Greg) Palmer, Philip Dickey, Gino and Ross Falasca; he was a proud great-grandfather to Rachel and Vincent Palmer.
Paul was a member of St. Anthony Parish and a life-long member of the Carovillese Club. He enjoyed going to the Italian Day Festivals and listening to Italian music. He loved playing his button box accordion for family gatherings. His family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Pebble Creek Nursing Home for all their care, compassion, and love for our dad.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St., Akron.
