Paulyne Popiel, passed away May 10, 2024 at the age of 102.

Mom was born in Akron, Ohio on Feb. 24, 1922. Mom was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Anna Volchko, her husband of 56 years John Popiel, her brothers Emil, Ted, Andy, Paul, Del, and Eddy. Mom was also preceded by her sisters Irene and Helen. Paulyne is survived by her sons Jack (Chris), Jim, and Bob, along with daughters Patti Klayko (Mike), and Susan Popiel. Mom is also survived by her sister Anna. Mom has 6 grandchildren, Chris Klayko (Christina), Keri Sponseller (Chris), Amy Roberts (Matt), Joanna Klayko, Michelle Davis (Dave), Jamie Popiel, 10 great grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mom's, caregiver Jessica who was constantly with her until the end and Serenity Hospice Nurse Kim. Mom was a long time parishioner at St Hedwig's and St Anthony's Catholic Church.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Anthony's Church, in Akron, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11 am.
