Phoebe Rae Lawley (Wagner) passed away on November 11, 2024 after a four-year fight with cancer.
She was born in 1949 in Meadville, PA. She lived in Akron most of her life and was a graduate of Springfield High School. She was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church in Ellet, where she and Terry were married.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Terry, and her parents Bruce and Mary Wagner.
She leaves behind her children, Greg, and Jill (Ricky); grandchildren, Zack (Tabb), Rachel (Joe), and Lauren (Anthony), who called her Feebs or Memaw; great-grandchildren, Koleson, Carter, Oaklee, Luca and Annie who she had hoped to meet in December; brother, Bruce (Candy); sister, Jan (Keith); brother-in-law, Ned (Tonia); sister-in-law, Janice; and many nieces and nephews.
She worked at Petitti's Garden Center for 25 years alongside Terry, from which they both retired. She enjoyed working in the nursery and was very knowledgeable about all the plants. She was known for her green thumb.
She cherished both her children and grandchildren especially after losing Terry. She loved sharing her love for the Cleveland Indians (Guardians) with her brother, Bruce, as well as her love for Coca-Cola memorabilia with her sister, Jan.
She was so proud to receive her 30-year coin from AA recently. She made many great friendships through her years of sobriety and appreciated the love and support from them. She loved to read daily devotionals and quoting the Serenity Prayer each day.
