In loving memory, Phyllis Meiser, of Canton, passed away peacefully on July 23rd, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will never be forgotten. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, treasured sister, and a dear friend to so many. All who knew Phyllis will remember her as a gentle, kind, and truly incredible woman.
Phyllis began her journey in Canton, Ohio, on November 6, 1949, and graduated from Glenwood High School. A lifelong member of Christ the Servant Parish (Our Lady of Peace), Phyllis lived her faith every day through quiet acts of service, compassion for others, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her family were the cornerstones of her beautiful life.
Phyllis was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Victor and Mary Nicodemo, and her youngest son, Joel Meiser, who she longed to hold again. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Tom Meiser, with whom she built a life of love and partnership. She will be deeply missed by her children, Nick (Kelly) Meiser and Kristina (Joe) Radigan, and by her grandchildren, Kyle, JT, Cole, Isaac, Noah, Ben, and Sarah and a long with grandchildren her great-granddaughter, Ella Rose, will carry forward her legacy of kindness, love, and strength.
Phyllis's life was richly blessed by the love and support of her siblings: Victor (Gail) Nicodemo, John (Pam) Nicodemo, Jim (Wrenn) Nicodemo, Rick (Heidi) Nicodemo, Kathy (Chris) Gage, Patty (Buster) Neice, Connie (Charlie) Blakely, Marilyn (Jim) Neff, and Carolyn (Larry) Miday. Lastly, she found immense joy in the many nieces and nephews and friends that became family that brought laughter and warmth into her life.
Phyllis had a unique gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether she was sharing a meal, offering a listening ear, or simply sitting beside you in quiet comfort, she made every moment feel special. Her family and friends will forever remember her gentle smile, her calming presence, and the way she lived her life with faith, grace, and love.
A service and celebration of Phyllis's beautiful life will be Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at Christ the Servant Parish, 833 39th St. NW, Canton, OH 44709
Phyllis will be deeply missed, but the love she shared and the lives she touched will carry her memory forward, reminding us all to live with the same kindness and faith she so effortlessly gave to the world.
