Priscilla Elaine Johnson, 83, passed away April 20, 2026. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in the Cuyahoga Falls area.
Priscilla was a Comptometer at Green Cross hospital and had worked at the Ellet Meat Market. She loved her church North Springfield Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon for many years and the Daughters of Mokanna. She loved music and singing in the Yusef Khan women’s Chorus. Priscilla enjoyed sewing and was a dedicated craft maker. She was the Bowling Queen and once bowled a 299
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Carl and Emma Sims; brother in law, Monark (Edie) Johnson; and 6 siblings.
Priscilla is survived by niece, Marti Johnson; nephew, Monark Allen Johnson; and five great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). There will be Daughters of Mokanna service at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2026 at the funeral home with Rev. Patricia Moats officiating.
Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the working fund at the North Springfield Presbyterian Church, 671 S. Canton Road, Akron, OH 44312 or the Humanitarian Foundation for Grottoes International 430 Beecher Road, Gahana, OH 43230.
