Obituary

Ralph Esposito, Sr. affectionately known as "Grandpa E." 92 passed away peacefully on January 8.

Ralph a resident of Tallmadge, retired from the B. F. Goodrich Company after 38 years of service. He also worked at Goodyear Aerospace and had been a real estate agent for several years.

Ralph served in the army during World War II with the 485th Medical Collection Company in Karlsruhe, Germany.

He was a member of Prime Timers at Our Lady of Victory Parish as well as a dedicatedparticipant in the B.F. Goodrich retirees group, and he often met with many members of his graduation class from East High School.

Ralph was an unassuming, quiet man who had a passion and talent for making wine, especially cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. His grapes were carefully selected and shipped from Napa, California. He was proud to donate cases of wine to the Newman Center at Kent State University for their fund-raising dinners.  He loved his garden and proudly delivered his produce, especially zucchini, peppers, and eggplant, to friends and family.  For recreation, he coached his son's baseball team when he was in high school, played golf, and exercised at the Tallmadge Rec. Center.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther, his parents Pasquale and  Michelina, brothers Dominic and Louis, sisters Elizabeth,  Angela , and Margie Toth; sister in law Mary, and brothers in law Alex Toth and Jim Watkins.

He is survived by his only child, Ralph Jr., (Lucille) granddaughters: Doreen Osmun (Dale), and Gina Esposito (Steve DiMauro); great grandchildren: Anthony Esposito, Joseph Bartlett, and Olivia Mae Osmun and Maria Lucia DiMauro; sister in law Evelyn Watkins, nephews: Dominic Jr. and Jimmy Watkins; nieces: Elizabeth McCormick, Patsy Mattingly, and MichelleMohlmaster.

Mass of Christian burial will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, Newman Center Kent State University, 1424 Horning Rd., Kent Ohio 44240 at 10:00 am, Friday, January 13. Family and friends will be received from 9-10 am at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Newman Center, Kent State University, "Together we Build" Campaign.
