Raymond M. Thomas

Raymond M. Thomas, 92, passed away March 3, 2022.  Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in Tallmadge.

He was a graduate of Springfield High School and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  Raymond was also a member of the Tallmadge HS Athletic and Band Boosters and Springwood Lake Camp Club.  He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 39 years of service and was a Korean War Veteran.  He enjoyed camping and amateur baseball.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Curtis and Catharine Thomas; and several sisters and brothers.

Raymond is survived by his sister, Betty (Glenn) Tipton of Akron; daughters, Raye (Kevin) Guynn of Mentor, Lynne (Paul) Whitmore of Chesterland; son, Eric Thomas (Michelle Primm) of Bath; grandchildren, Sara (Andy) Ross, Emily (Luke) Barlow, Michael Guynn and Neil Whitmore; great granddaughter, Maerin Ross and great grandson, Judah Barlow.

Memorial service will be Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 139 S. High St, Akron with Pastor Johnson officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Tallmadge Cemetery.
