Richard E Christy

Richard E. Christy Sr. of Akron, 81, passed away August 2, 2021 peacefully with family at his side.

He retired as a Tank Liner from Blair Processing. Richard enjoyed dancing and working on cars (specifically his 59 Chevy Convertible). He was also a passionate member of Harmony Baptist Church where he enjoyed sharing the love of his Savior Jesus Christ with his church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Beatrice Christy; sons, James and Thomas Christy; sisters, Melody Ellebruch; daughter in law, Holly Christy; and granddaughters, Melinda and Autumn Christy.

Richard is survived by his children; Richard and Albert Christy of Texas, Jean McGinnis of Salem, Teresa (Dave) Nadasky of Austintown; his brothers and sisters, Bernard (Joann) Christy of Mogadore, Jeff (Mary) Christy of Florida, Linda (David) Rosenberger of Rootstown, Ruth (Joe) Woodell of South Carolina, Sarah Miller of Greenville, Debbie (Thomas) Lamb of Texas; 22 grandchildren; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Harmony Baptist Church.
