Rick Ormsby Jr. (Alvin) Rick Ormsby, 71, born August 10, 1946, passed away July 11, 2018 at home under hospice care. He was preceded in death by his son, Chris (7); sister, Joan Meyers; and nephew, Steven Meyers. Rick is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sue; sons, Ricky (Bev) and Jimmy (Lynn); grandchildren, Luke (Charise), Riley, Shayla, Timmy (Ashley) and Hannah. He worked for Hennessy Funeral Home and recently retired from Acme State Road. Rick touched many kids lives in baseball and bowling. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron, OH 44310. Funeral services will be Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Northlawn Cemetery. Our family wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care Rick received under Lori and the Western Reserve Hospice team.
