Rita Ramona ((Rotondo) (Souers)) Myers

Rita Ramona Rotondo Souers Myers, 75, unexpectedly passed away on September 21, 2025. She was born in Akron and lived in Tallmadge most of her life with some time in Buffalo, NY/Houston, TX and then back to Northern Ohio where her heart always belonged.

Rita retired in 2014 with 22 years of teaching with most of those in the Akron Public Schools and was a member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing piano, cooking and baking, sending birthday cards, her annual trips to Geneva-on-the-Lake with her loving husband Skip, enjoying the company of friends and family at Bar North in Huron, and spending time with her children and grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Rotondo; and daughter, Erin Myers.

Rita is survived by her husband, George "Skip"; daughters, Stella (Aaron) Schindler of Ashland, Susan Riley of Westlake, Mandy Myers of Tacoma, WA; son, Matthew Myers of Westlake, son-in-law, Rob McLean of Chicago; brother, Ray Donald Rotondo of Rocky Ford, CO; granddaughter, Kira Ramona Riley; nephews, Junior and Jeff Rotondo; and many friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

A memory sharing ceremony will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2025 at the Tallmadge Cemetery Gazebo.
