Rita Ann (Stemler) Comko

Rita Ann Comko passed away October 8, 2022. Beloved mother of Mark (Cathy) and David; loving grandmother of Ashley, Adam, and Emily Comko; dearest friend of Anna Parrish; aunt of Jeffrey Stemler; devoted cousin of Joan, and the late Marge, Ruth and Jean (the Halaj Girls).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred "Whitey" and Mildred (Halaj) Stemler and brother, Raymond.

Rita was a graduate of Ursuline College where she received her Bachelors Degree and the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University where she received her Master's. She was retired from Akron General Medical Center where she was Director of Nursing and Patient Services. Rita loved her family and friends (you know who you are) and also loved nursing, animals, nature and genealogy.  Go Browns!!

Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.

Private interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brookpark.
