Robert "Bob" Charles Pohelia, Sr.

Born in Pittsburgh on September 14, 1940, Bob passed away on September 23, 2021.  Quick to a smile, Bob grew up in Greenock, PA where as a young boy he enjoyed meeting the train for doughnuts, working his paper route to help provide for his Mum and playing baseball in the local league.

Bob met his wife, Barb at McKeesport High School (PA) and graduated in 1958.  His career in electronics and early computing technology brought them to Ohio where Bob became an active citizen of Tallmadge.  Known as "Mr. Po" to many, he was a big supporter of Tallmadge Little League, several years a proud member of the HS softball team coaching staff, and supporter of the band. There was not a sport that Bob did not like or watch as he was an avid fan - whether it was cheering on a Tallmadge team, or giving a "Go Bucks!" for Ohio State.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Pohelia (Kaiser); parents, Charles Pohelia and Wilma Haidle; sister, Jane Nye.

He is survived by his son, Robert Pohelia Jr. (Marcia) of New Franklin; daughter, Tracey Pawlowski (Bill) of Westerville, OH; grandsons, Andrew and Aaron Pohelia; and by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and many many friends.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 and at 11:00 until 12;00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave, Tallmadge (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021 following visitation at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.

Interment will be at the Tallmadge Cemetery.
