Robert "Bobby" Gesquiere

5/27/69 - 7/11/21

Bobby, age 52, peacefully passed away in his sleep from natural causes.

Bobby was born in Akron to Robert "Pop" and Monique Gesquiere. He attended St. Anthony grade school, St. Vincent - St. Mary and North High School.

He worked for Gesquiere Painting and was employed by the University of Akron for the last 20 years.

Bobby married Megan Guertal in 1998 and together they had a beautiful and much loved daughter, Madeline. Megan preceded Bobby in death in 2003.

Bobby was an avid fan of KISS, the Las Vegas Raiders, and his 1969 Camaro. There wasn't much he couldn't fix or learn how to fix. When he finished a project, like a remodeled kitchen, it was a sight to behold. His workmanship was a thing of beauty.

His father "pop" preceded him in death in 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Madeline and his mother, Monique. He leaves behind his sister, Sue Phillips (Joe), brother, Fred Gesquiere (Becky), and nephews, Justin, Aaron, and Andrew Gesquiere.

Bobby was loved more than he realized and will be sorely missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am Saturday July 17, 2021 at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place Akron.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm Friday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St. Akron.
