Robert Lee Mcneal

Robert Lee McNeal, 84, passed away December 26, 2022.

Born in Youngstown, Robert had lived in the Tallmadge area for 42 years.  He retired from the U.S. Marine Corp as First Sergeant with 26 years of service, the Akron Post Office with 20 years of service, and also Sunny Hills Golf Course.  Robert was Little League Umpire for 25 years.  He enjoyed golf, family beach vacations, and traveling to Las Vegas and out west.  Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Ann McNeal.

Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katherine; daughters, Patricia (Dale) Hartshorn and Barbara Brubaker; sons, Robert P. (Connie) McNeal and Daniel (Heather) McNeal; grandchildren, Freja, Kaitlyn, Kara, Logan, Dalton, Morgan, Cameron, Nolan, Collin and Austin; great grandchild, Easton; and brother, Raymond (Mary) McNeal of Meridian, MS.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service to be 10 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
