Robert "Bob" Quincy Chalk

Robert (Bob) Quincy Chalk, age 92, of Tallmadge, Ohio passed away peacefully on the 16th of February 2021.  Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery in Tallmadge, Ohio.  Arrangements are by Donovan Funeral Home.

He was born in Benwood, West Virginia on August 1, 1928 to John and Mary Chalk. He married Irene Rose McCabe on October 23, 1950 in Akron, Ohio.

Bob was a U.S Navy veteran serving from 1946-1948.  He attended Akron University and was an Ohio State Highway Patrolman for 6 years.  In 1957 he went to work for State Farm Auto Insurance Company starting as a Field Claim Representative in the Akron Office and advancing to Regional Vice President.  Bob was active in the community serving on the Tallmadge Civil Service Commission from 1991 to 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Irene Rose Chalk (McCabe); daughter, Kathleen Chalk Harris; and grandson, William Chalk Harris.

He is survived by his brother, John Chalk of Palm Harbor, Florida; and his grandson, Andrew Harris and great grandchildren, Lyla, Hunter, and Quincy Harris of Silver Spring, Maryland.

The family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
