Robert M. Salladay

Robert M. Salladay, 75, passed away September 15, 2023.

Born in Ravenna, Robert lived in the Ravenna area all of his life.  He was a graduate of Ravenna High School in 1965 and attended Kent State and Akron Universities.  Robert was retired from Smiley/Hanchulak Design and Marketing. He was a member of the American Marketing Association and attended church at the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls where he sang in the choir.

He loved motorcycling and rode throughout the U.S. with his wife Chris. They traveled to Russia in 1972-1973.  They took too many cruises to mention to the Caribbean. Robert especially liked Belize and traveled twice to England, Scotland, and Wales. Robert enjoyed reading, cars, and irking his younger brother with artistic ability and his son with rhetorical ability.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Salladay; sister, Maureen Salladay; and daughter, Rachel Salladay.

Robert is survived by his wife and best friend of 54 years, Christine; son, Nathan Salladay of Tallmadge; nieces, Jillian Salladay, Laurel (Bill) Leith, and Andrea Krebs; sister-in-law, Carolyn Sendry (Tim Swanda); brother-in-law, William (Eryn) Krebs; brother, John (Barbra) Salladay of New Hampshire; special friends, Priscilla and Tom Calanni, Michael and Rebecca Higgins, James and Susan Simpson, Tim Wright, and Tim and Jane Thomas.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life is to be planned at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or the Music Ministry at First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
