Robert P. Savage Sr , 80, lost his battle to cancer on  July 16,2021.  He was born in Akron and lived most of his life in North Hill.  Rob served in the National guard.  He worked as a welder and burner for many years to support and care for his family. Rob's true love was spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering in his garage.

Rob is survived by his children: Robert (Kathy), Don (Jeanne), Carol (Tim) Stavroff, Barb (Andy) Borsi, Paul, Ken and Debbie Savage and his many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers: Charles (Gloria) and Richard (Ann), and his sister-in-laws: Janice, Jane and Anna.

Rob was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Carolyn (Holmes), parents Joseph and Mary (Hudek) Savage, his brothers: John, Ed, Don, and twin brother David Savage, and his sister Shirley Bender.

Memorial calling hours will be from 4-6:30 PM, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 and a Memorial service 6:30 to 7PM at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of Main and York) 552 N. Main St., Akron.

Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Edinburg Cemetery.
