Robert Parker Taylor

August 2, 1933 — February 1, 2015

Robert Parker Taylor died suddenly on February 1, 2015, loving husband of Dorothy for 58 years, father and grandfather.  He was duly loved and will be greatly missed by all of his family, extended family, friends and associates.

Born in Cranford, New Jersey, Robert lived in Tallmadge since 1974.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co after 37 years of service.  Robert was an active member of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, as a Deacon, Trustee, and currently a head usher.  He was a Master Mason of Tallmadge and Star Lodge of Cuyahoga Falls.  He was an avid gardener and wood worker.

Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Treat); daughters Darlene (Jim) Farnsworth and Debra (Charles) Robinson; son, Dean (Kelly) Taylor; grandchildren, Andrew Cowie, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Hayes, Megan, Jenna, and Krista Farnsworth.

A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 at First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, 85 Heritage Dr., Tallmadge with Rev. Dr. John Schluep and Rev. Sarah Courtney officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church of Tallmadge.
