Roger Lee Isaly

Roger Isaly passed away peacefully on Monday July 28, 2025.

Roger was born in Akron, Ohio in 1947 to Bernard and Mabel Isaly.  He retired from building tires at Goodyear in 2002 at the age of 55 and got to spend the past 23 years doing exactly what he wanted to do, whenever he wanted to do it. A large portion of that time was spent golfing with his many friends.  He was quick to make a joke or tell the younger generation to save their money for retirement.

Roger was an accomplished Golfer and Bowler and achieved the impressive feat of 7 Hole In One's. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army Infantry and a Purple Heart Medal Recipient. Over the past decade he displayed impressive resilience, toughness, and determination as he faced Leukemia, Bone Cancer, Lung Cancer, Colon Cancer, Bladder Cancer, Hip Surgery, an almost ruptured aorta, the loss of his wife, and a variety of other ailments.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife Vicki Isaly, his parents Mabel and Bernard (Ike) Isaly, as well as his sister Jacqueline Isaly.

He is survived by his 2 sons Ryan (Kari) Isaly and Brad (Heather) Isaly, his grandchildren Alayna and Ben Isaly as well as many nieces and nephews. There will be a private memorial service for the family.
