Ronald L. D'Alessio Ronald L. D'Alessio, 83, died peacefully on January 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by sons, Doug (2017) and John (2018) and is survived by daughter, Jodi (Nick) Terakedis, Wooster; sons, C. Joseph (Terri), Waynesburg, and L. Jeffery, Akron. He lived in Akron, Garrettsville and Stow, Ron attended Kent State University and had been employed as a carpenter with D'Alessio Construction Co. and Tom Dillon-Forest City Enterprises and later as a mortgage loan originator. He was a member of the Carovillese Club and enjoyed dinners with the ROMEO group of friends. In addition, his other activities included tennis and attending football and baseball games of sons and grandsons. Ron will be lovingly remembered and missed by special friend and companion, Elizabeth; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He took much pride in being the patriarch of his large family and attended all gatherings. Calling hours will be Friday, January 25, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St., Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 11 a.m. A dinner in memory of Ron and John will be held at a later date. The family extends their gratitude to the caregivers of Summa Hospital, Palliative Care, & Hospice for the attention and care given to their loved one. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in care of Hennessy Funeral Home.
