Ronald L Flight

Ronald L. Flight, 80, passed away January 26, 2024. Born on June 1, 1943 in Akron and was a long time resident of Tallmadge. He was reunited with the love of his life, Marsha Flight, after three years of being apart. Ron and Marsha were married for 56 years.

Ronald served in the U.S. Navy and retires as a truck driver.  He was a member of Our Lady of Victory and St. Eugene Parish.

Ron was a remarkable, loving, caring man who loved his family very much. He certainly prided himself on being a Grandfather ("Papaw"). He has always shown great interest in everyone else's wellbeing. Ron enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, cracking jokes, and spending time with his loved ones. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan who was most loyal to his Browns. Ron had the most contagious smile and laugh that would light up an entire room. He always  appreciated the beauty in every living thing. He also adored animals, especially his many K9 companions he had throughout his years. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha; parents, John and Betty Flight; brother, Jeff Flight.

Ronald is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Jeff) Buehler, Kristen Duncan; grandchildren, Brittany (Connor) Campbell and Marissa Duncan; brother, Steve Flight; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Per his wishes a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ron's name may be made to the Humane Society of Summit County.
