Ronald T. Jensen

TALLMADGE – Ron Jensen, 92, passed away May 14, 2025.

Born in Akron Ohio, he attended East High where he was known as "Ronnie with the yellow convertible". In 1961, he built his home in Tallmadge and lived there the rest of his life. Ron was an excellent mechanical engineer and VP of Engineering at Colonial Machine in Kent Ohio, retiring after 45 years. A big Indians/Guardians fan who rarely missed a game on TV or radio. He was a member of Tallmadge United Methodist Church for 63 years and active in the Tallmadge Jaycees and Lions Clubs throughout the 60s and 70s and he enjoyed spending time with his fantastic neighbors and friends.

He was a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather (8).

Ron was preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 49 years, Joan; daughter, Karen Pridgen; Parents, Chris and Heartha Jensen; brother-in-law, Earl Gray; sister, Joanna Gray; brother, James Jensen.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Carol Jensen; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Pete Battista; son-in-law, Don Pridgen; his grandchildren, Julie and Will Kaiser, Chris and Misty Jensen, Maggie and Austin Troyer, Sarah and Mason Creager, Adam and Ashley Pridgen, Patrick Pridgen, Valerie and Jacob Morgan, and Annie Jones.

Visiting hours are Thursday May 22, 2025 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
