Rosa (Chiodi) Di Lullo Rosa (Chiodi) Di Lullo, 95 years of age, passed away Oct. 12, 2015. She was born in Gallo Matese, Italy, Sept 15, 1920. She resided in Akron, Ohio since emigrating to the USA in 1946. Rosa was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church for over 65 years. She was very proud of becoming a U.S. citizen in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ralph T., infant son and daughter, Mary Pennino. Rosa's passion in life after her children and grandchildren were her garden and roses. Rosa's main occupation was as a homemaker to her eight children. She raised, guided and disciplined her eight children with a mother's love. Rosa's other occupation was as a cook at St. Anthony of Padua School where she worked with her sister-in-law, Angela Starvaggi, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Patrick (Sarah), RoseMary, Cosmo, Anthony, Tom, John (Lynn) and Angela; grandchildren, Teresa (Rich) Hazlett, Cristina, Ann Marie and Joseph Di Lullo, Michael (Tiana) Pennino, Andrew (Louise) Di Lullo, Steven (Ginalise) and Lauren Di Lullo, RosaLia and John Stadler, Gina and John Di Lullo; great-grandchildren, Marisa and Erin Hazlett, Brielle and Lily Pennino. Another great-grandchild is due in mid 2016. Rosa is also survived by sister-in-law, Anita Di Lullo; many nieces, nephews, family and friends, especially Maria Ricci and Beata Mariola. The family wishes to thank Berthine A. Moore for her tender and compassionate care of our mother for the past 3 1/2 years. Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 at the Hennessy Funeral Home, 552 N. Main Street, Akron, OH 44310. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, OH 44310, Fr. Burba, Celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery.
