Rose M Lucas

Rose M. Lucas, 77, passed away May 17, 2018. Born in New Kensington, PA., she lived most of her life in Tallmadge.

Rose retired in 2001 with 36 years of service as a Nurse's Aid at Akron General Medical Center and she attended Our Lady of Victory Church. Rose enjoyed arts and crafts, going to the theater, bowling, gardening, card games and most of all cooking and caring for others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joel Nelson "Jake"; parents, Bernard "Pupp" and Mary Basta; brother, Robert Basta; sister and brother in law, Margie and Rudy Buono

Rose is survived by her son, Arthur Lucas of Tallmadge; daughter, Angela Hibbs of Green; sister, Joanie Polluck of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Nicholas Lucas, Madison Lucas, Michael and Anthony Gauer; great grandchildren, Jonathan Hibbs, Jr. and Nicholas Zander.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday following visitation at the funeral home.
