Rose L. Mocklar

Rose L. Mocklar (Deppas), 95, fell peacefully asleep in the Lord on July 4, 2025.

Born on November 28, 1929 in Jamestown, NY, Rose resided there until she met and married Rendall and moved to Parma, OH to raise their family.  Rose was the Manager of Casual Corner in Parmatown Mall for many years.  She was an avid knitter, jazz music lover, and bingo player.  She loved her family and friends.  We are so blessed that she enjoyed a long, beautiful and vibrant life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Athena Deppas; beloved husband, Rendall Mocklar; brother, Anthony (Dony) Deppas; sister-in-law, Dolly Deppas; nephew, James Deppas; and her beloved son-in-law, Brad Croskey.

Rose is survived by her loving daughters, Renee Croskey and Rochell Mocklar both of Tallmadge; grandson, Brice (Emily) Croskey of Celebration, FL; brother-in-law, David (Cynthia) Mocklar of Latham, NY; nephews, Louis (Melissa) Deppas of Jamestown, NY; John Deppas of Jamestown, NY; Michael (Laurel) Mocklar of Atlanta, GA; niece, Amy (Tom) McDonald of Pittsburgh, PA; and all of their children.

Funeral will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron, with Fr. Dean Kokanos officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
