Russell P Dietz

Russell P. Dietz, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2016.

Russell was born in Akron on October 26, 1955 and graduated from Coventry High School. He retired from Acme with 22 years of service.  Russell had resided at Hope Homes for the last 25 years.  He had a love of all sports but especially Cleveland sports teams.  Russell was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Akron.

Preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Joann Dietz, and close friend Doug Davis;

Russell is survived by brother Dale (Cathy) Dietz, niece Kelly (Scott) Nelson, aunt Carrie Lou Stone, cousin Richard (Mary Ellen) Stone, special friends Ron Lee, Tom Dillman, and Andrew Stoner, along with many many other friends.

Special thanks to the staff at Hope Homes and Sue Telarcek at Summit County DD for the loving care always provided to Russell.

Family and friends will be received at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 North Main Street, Akron, on Sunday, April 3rd from 3:00 to 5:00 with a memorial service immediately following at 5:00 pm. with Reverend David Brown officiating.

Private interment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to either Trinity United Church of Christ Akron or Hope Homes in Stow.
