Russell Terrell

Russell S. Terrell, 87, passed away August 14, 2017.  Born in Xenia, he had lived in Akron since 1992.

Russell served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 22 years of service. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, American Legion Post #566, Past Adjutant Post #794, Pathfinders and Warrior's Journey Home.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean E. Terrell; parents, Russell and Dorothy Terrell; step-sons in law, "Buff" Danny Taylor, Paul Gustavel; sister, Betty J. Giesseman.

Russell is survived by his wife, Janet L. Terrell; son, Russell (Julie) Terrell, II of Lakesville, MN; step-sons, Douglas (Rosa) Bryson of Green, Richard (Katy) Bryson of Perrysville; step-daughters, Becky (Bob Mauer) Gustavel of Tallmadge, Jani Taylor of Kentucky; grandson, Bobby; eight step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) with Rev. Bill Hostutler officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at the Minneapolis National Veterans Cemetery.
