Ruth Mary Lees (Baer)

Ruth Mary Lees (Baer), 78, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014.

She was born on June 26, 1935 in Akron to George and Esther Baer (deceased). She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lees in January of 2010.  She was one of three children: two brothers, Bud and Russ, of which she was the last surviving.

She is survived by her daughter, Angel (Carmen) Montevecchio and sons, Keith and Jim Lees.

Ruth spent many years as a teacher, the majority of which was at St. Mary's Grade School in Akron where she taught Kindergarten. After retirement she turned her attention to gardening and caring for the family pets.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Pl., Akron. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron.
