IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Salvadore "Sam"
Triola
March 19, 2015
"Together Again"
Salvadore "Sam" Triola passed into the loving arms of Jesus and was reunited with his wife on March 19, 2015. He was 92 years old.
Sam was born in Independence, Louisiana and lived most of his life in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Garfield High School, had a gift for math, and was an accomplished wrestler and boxer. Sam retired after 42 years of loyal service for The B.F. Goodrich Company.
Sam's greatest love was his wife and family. He enjoyed many happy times with his extended family, especially his grandchildren with whom he took great pride. He enjoyed tending his garden, square dancing, and dancing the Polka. Sam lived his life with a deep faith in God and devotion to the Blessed Mother, an endless love for his family, and a willingness to work hard. He was a strong yet kind man with a smile that could light up the room. Sam was an active member and long-time usher of St. Martha Parish/Blessed Trinity Parish in Akron.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years Raffaela, daughter Lucille, parents Lawrence and Natalie Triola, brothers Charles, Anthony, Carl, Nicholas, and Albert Joseph and sisters Angelina and Mary. Sam is survived by his loving children, Samuel (Janice) Triola and Martha (Mike) Dain, and his eight Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his Sisters-In-Law, Mary Triola, Katherine Limosana and Sally Limosono and many loving Nephews and Nieces.
The Triola Family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Daniel Steidl, Sandy Andrassy – Summa Care Manager, and the loving and caring staff of Summa Akron City Hospital's Palliative Care Unit. They were the angels that escorted both Sam and Raffaela into the loving arms of Jesus and for that we will be eternally grateful.
Friends may call on Monday, March 23, at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron, between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 24, at 10:00 AM, at Blessed Trinity Church, 300 E.
