Samuel J Chambers

Samuel J. Chambers, 87, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Sam was born in Hambleton, West Virginia and lived most of his life in the Akron area.  He loved country music, playing the guitar and banjo, karaoke and working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judythe; his parents, William and Vallie Chambers; siblings, Virginia, Janet, Paul, Franklin, Robert, James and Richard.

Sam is survived by sons, Les (Cheryl) Chambers, Paul (Stacy) Chambers, James Chambers; daughter, Mary (Donald Proper) Lasko; siblings, JoAnn, Patricia and Dan; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. Tallmadge.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
