Samuel A. Keller, 71, passed away February 19, 2015.
Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Sam had lived in the Akron area for most of his life. He served in the National Guard and was the owner of Keller Rigging and Construction retiring June 1, 2014 after 40 years. Sam enjoyed woodworking, and was very active with filling the needs of Open M Ministries and the Salvation Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bayard and Jean Keller and brother, Daniel Keller.
Sam is survived by his son, David (Jennifer) Keller of Uniontown; grand children, Cassandra and Abbey Keller; wife, Shirley; her children, Terry (Kelley) Mendenhall, Sherry (Bill) Oehlenschlager, and Tim (Laura Custer-Vargo) Mendenhall; grandchildren, Trisha Wiley, Jennifer and Jacob Mendenhall, and Mitch and Jeremy Oehlenschlager,
Visitation will be 2 until 4 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Shannon M. Blower officiating.
