Shelley Taylor, 69, passed away unexpectedly June 8, 2023.
Born in Akron, she lived all her life between Cuyahoga Falls and Munroe Falls. She worked as a teacher's assistant at Kent Roosevelt High School for 20 years before retiring in 2012. Shelley enjoyed traveling, photography, and concerts with her daughter and sister. She spent her life taking care of her family and friends, most importantly taking care of her grandchildren. Shelley never missed an event involving her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Norma Richards; brothers, Bob and Randy Richards; and sister, Laura Richards.
Shelley is survived by her husband of 45 years, Steve; daughter, Jaclyn (Shane) Golden, grandchildren, Nicholas, McKenna, Alexander, and Olivia; sister-in-law, Jeanne (Bill) Jasso, niece, Megan (Max); great nephew, Kai; niece, Shannon, Taylor; nephews, Matthew and Cory, and many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 24 from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. Tallmadge.
Memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jim Case officiating.
Interment will take place at Tallmadge Cemetery
