Stanley Blocker

Stanley Blocker aka “Stan the Man”, Age 62, went home to be with the lord on July 23, 2026. He was born in Akron, Ohio and grew up in North Hill. He went to North High School and would go onto work for yellow cab & the ice cream truck; he was a pillar of the community.

Stanley was always smiling, he loved to play his guitar & sing, play video games & always had words of wisdom & a solution to any problem. Riding bikes on the trail with his kids & grandkids use to be his favorite in the summer & playing basketball, loved listening to instrumentals, singing & rapping his own songs when he went on road trips. Stanley would always be remembered by his jokes & his kind gentle words also his laugh & the funny voices he used to make.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Barbara; mother & father Lula May & Jesse Blocker Sr.; brother, Jesse Jr.; and sister, Donna.

Stanley is survived by his daughters, Tessie, Kristina Alicia, Myeisha; son, Michael; grandkids, Mia, Ashley, Tyrese, Joe & Josiah; sister, Melanie; a host of cousin & a host of nieces & nephews who love & miss him dearly.

Celebration of life details will be announced later.
