Stefan Herschberger

Stefan Herschberger, age 95, passed away at his home in Concord, California on November 22nd 2018.

Born in Yugoslavia in 1923 to Jacob and Maria Herschberger (nee Wagner), he was an Akron area resident from 1956 – 2011.  He was a hard working husband and father who will be missed and reminisced over for years to come. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Christine; daughters, Hedy Simmons (Bill d.), Eleonore (Noel Kayo), Mary Christine Shane (David) and son Peter (Mary Lynn); grandchildren, Elisabeth Brown (Marcus), Michael and Elena Herschberger, Jackson, and Chloe Shane; and loving great grandchildren, Flora June, Camille, and Elijah.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, from 2 – 5pm at Hennessy Funeral Home on 552 N. Main Street in Akron.  Funeral mass will be held Monday December 3rd, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery at 100 E. Waterloo Rd. in Akron.
