Stephanie L (Drabish) Foley

Stephanie L. (nee Drabish) (Marshall) Foley, 78, passed away on May 4, 2025. She was born in Somerset, Pennsylvania on May 22, 1946 and lived in the Akron/Tallmadge area since 1961.

Stephanie worked at local advertising agencies for 26 years—at McCann Hawkins and Taylor Hawkins before going to TRIAD, where she retired as Media Specialist in 2013 after 11 years of service there. She loved animals, flowers, cool cars, cooking and baking—especially the family tradition of "Cookie Day" every year for over 25 years on the day after Thanksgiving. She and husband, Gary were also noted for their annual family/friends spaghetti dinner near Valentine's Day and cookouts on their deck in autumn.

Stephanie was a former member of Grace United Church of Christ in Akron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; parents, Steve and Evelyn Drabish.

Stephanie is survived by sons, Scott Marshall of Akron and Chris (Robin) Marshall of Tallmadge; sisters, Debbie (Ronnie) Romesberg of Akron and Sheri (Carl) Heller of Brimfield; grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan (Jenny), Patrick, Nola and Sebastian; several great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.

The family wishes to thank Stephanie's caregivers over the past few years—both those who provided in-home care, and for the amazing staff at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care facility.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13, 2025, 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave, Tallmadge (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

A celebration of life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverand Jim Case officiating.

A private inurnment service for family will take place at a later date.
