"Together Again"

Steve A. Berenyi, 84, went to be with the Lord January 6, 2015.

He was born in Akron where he lived most of his life.  He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a Marine.  Steve served as a sergeant in the Marine Corp during the Korean War.  He retired from General Tire as a security guard.  He was an active member of Christ The King Church, Our Lady of Victory Parish, Marine Corp League, VFW and K of C #3529.  He is reunited with his wife Helen of 54 years.

Steve is survived by his loving children, George (Mary) Berenyi, Veronica (John) Finch, Mary (Richard) Pace, Teresa (Fred) Steward and Joseph (Sonya)  Berenyi; as well as ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 pm and 5 to 7 pm, Sunday, January 11, at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron.  There will be a rosary prayed at 6:45 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 7 pm, Sunday, with Father Mike Matusz officiating.  Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10:30 am, Monday, January 12.
