Tessie (Harris) Louis

Together Forever - Tessie Louis, 97, passed away January 6, 2024. Born in Akron, Ohio, she lived most of her life in the Cleveland and Akron areas.

Tessie was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and the Ikarian Club. She loved golfing, bowling and gambling. Her love of life was infectious and she always made you feel like you were her best friend. She was always quick with a hug and a kiss. Tessie was the life of the party and will be missed by all.

Tessie was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Lillian Harris; her siblings, Nick Harris and Archie Cala and her husband, Alex with whom she shared 62 wonderful and fun filled years.

Tessie is survived by her sons, Gus, Michael (Beth) and Nick (Robin); grandchildren, Christopher (Kara) and Niko (Erica); great-grandchildren Jackson, Isabelle, Sophia, Gio and Mila; sister-in-law Stella Harris; cousin, Irene Lioces; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Village of St. Edward at Fairlawn for their marvelous care. Her hospice care was exceptional.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 am on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 South Union Street, Akron, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at the church at 11 am with Rev. Father Dean Kokanos officiating.

Interment at Glendale Cemetery.

Following the burial, a luncheon will be served at the church.

Flowers may be sent to the church.
