Theodore L. Howell

Theodore L. Howell, 92, passed away October 8, 2017. He was born June 28, 1925 in Akron to Arzie & Elizabeth Howell.

He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from Summit Ready Mix in 1994. He was a member of American Legion Post 566 for the past 60 years.

Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; stepson, John Malcui;, brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Beatrice Howell.

He is survived by his sister, Jane Becket of Bakersfield, CA; children, James Howell of Akron, Theodora Michaels of Alphretta GA, Heather (Donald) Slayton of Akron, Philip (Linda) Howell of Shelbyville IN; stepchildren, James (Pat) Malcuit of GA, Larry (Joyce) Malcuit of Tavares FL, Suella Stevens of Whitney TX. Ted was a loving grandfather, of 19 and great grandfather of 32.

Ted enjoyed traveling with his wife & dog to visit their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Since losing his wife, he's enjoyed traveling with his granddaughter. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him. Ted will be missed by his special friends & neighbors Mary & Troy Blair.

Friends may call 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge (On the Historical Tallmadge Circle.

Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery.
