Theresa Marie Snowdon, 71, known to most as Terrie, passed away surrounded by family on October 24, 2026. Terrie was born in Detroit, Michigan, and lived most of her life in Taylor, Michigan, before moving to Edinburg Township, Ohio, in 2024.
Terrie worked for Walmart for 25 years, holding multiple positions throughout her career before medical retirement in 2024. She was a private person who enjoyed crocheting blankets and other handmade items for her children and grandchildren. She cherished quiet afternoons spent reading her favorite books or watching her favorite television programs. Terrie especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, vacationing in the Outer Banks, where she enjoyed watching the waves and dolphins and collecting seashells along the shore. She was a collector of what she called Funny Money, which was money from other countries. She loved to share this Funny Money with her grandchildren.
Terrie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Theresa Michalak; her sister, Rose Kotas; and her nephew, Michael Michalak.
She is survived by her daughters, Shawn Snowdon, Stacey Majtyka, Amanda (Othmar) Lenze III, and Amy (Wade) Patterson; her son, Douglas Snowdon; her grandchildren, Ryan (Payton) Snowdon, Brittany (Zach) Becker, Jacob Snowdon, Brandon Snowdon, Jeffrey Majtyka, Darian Majtyka, Bradley Majtyka, Lyndsey Snowdon, Ava Lenze, Abigail Lenze, Haley Snowdon, and Ivy Patterson; and her great-grandchildren, Enrique Lira, Braylynn Lira, Payton Becker, and Kacen Becker. She is also survived by her sisters, Michelle (Rich) Gavalier and Renee (Leonard) Valenti; her brother, Gerard (Christine) Michalak; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Terrie will be held on November 12, 2026, at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan 48334. Family and friends will be received beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. The family invites all attendees to join them for a brief luncheon following the service to share memories, stories, and hugs.
