Thomas T. Cardoni

On Sunday, January 31, 2021, Thomas T. Cardoni, loving husband and father of three passed away at the age of 86.

Tom was born on July 29, 1934 in Akron Ohio to Thomas and Mary Cardoni. On December 27, 1958, he married Carol Eisenhut. They raised one son, Tom and two daughters, Monica and Gina.

Tom served two years active duty from 1957-1959 in the US Army. After serving his country, he began his career with his brother, John at National Towing and Truck. In 1975, he went to work for Kenmore Construction, where he worked for over 45 years until his retirement at age 84. At Kenmore Construction, Tom "found a home" working many years alongside his son, Tom, in "The Shop". He was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 18. Tom was known for his amazing gift to fix just about anything and everything, for anyone. His unrelenting work ethic was unmatched: he never tired of working and found pride in all that he accomplished. Tom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we know he will be working hard in heaven watching over us all.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas; mother, Mary; brothers, John, Joseph and Lugi; sisters, Angela Sabbagh, Carmela Cagnoli and Caroline Brumbaugh.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol; his three children, Tom (Amanda) Cardoni, Monica (Bill) Moore, Gina (Gail) Riddle; loving grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Shannon and Jacob; sister and brother in law, Rose and George Sawyers; sister, Elsie Gelvin; brother in law, Donald (Pat) Eisenhut; nieces, nephews, and life long friend, Rick Sabbagh along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks will be required.

Funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Scott Baker officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 750 S. Main St. Akron Ohio 44311 or Northwest Ave. Church, 737 Northwest Ave. Tallmadge, Ohio 44278 are equally welcome.
