Thomas E. Gilbow, 81, passed away November 21, 2015.  He was born in Canton and lived most of his life in Akron.

He graduated from Hower Vocational School in 1953 studying Commercial Art.  Tom served two years in the Marine Reserve and two years in the Army Reserve.  He retired in 1989 from the United States Postal Service after 29 years of service.   His avocation was art, he was contracted on a freelance basis over the years.  He and his wife Patricia were very active at St. Martha Parish.  In his later years he attended St. Anthony Church.

Preceded in death by his son Michael, Tom is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, Sean Gilbow; and his brother, Carl (Shirley) Gilbow.

A Memorial Mass will be at 7:30 pm, Monday, December 14th, at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron.
