Timothy David Kidd, Sr., 70, passed away peacefully after a long illness on May 7, 2026. AKA “Grand-Dude”, “TDK”, or “Tim The Kidd”. Born September 6, 1955 in Akron, he lived most of his life in the Akron area and was a proud resident of Tallmadge for over 20 years.

Timothy attended East High School and eventually worked as a shipping/receiving clerk at Ruscoe for several years. He spent a brief time in the Army after high school, where he was proud to receive the Elite Carbine Rifle qualification as a Sharpshooter. Most of the free time throughout his life was spent listening to music and attending dozens of concerts, with every ticket stub kept, spanning from the early 70’s to the late 90’s. After meeting in 1988, he saw many of those shows with his wife of nearly 32 years, Terri. Tim loved to talk about the iconic musicians he saw in their early careers and always had an ear for who would become famous. He used to say that his true dream job was to be a music producer, and that he never would’ve had to work a day in his life doing what he loved.

One of his earliest and favorite pastimes was bowling, a hobby he learned from his father, an exceptional player whose trophies Tim cherished and kept until the end. Later in life, he enjoyed spending his days going fishing, and for years went nearly every week with his late best friend, Rod. Other days, he simply liked to take a walk through The Gorge or Goodyear Metro Park and feed the birds and critters. Tim always had a deep love for all animals, but held a special place in his heart for German Shepherds like his “soul dog”, Zack. Most of all, he loved sharing these passions with his kids, whom he always said were his greatest accomplishments and loved more than anything in the world.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Jacqueline Kidd; and grandson, William Wesley Huxtable III.

Timothy is survived by his wife Teresa; daughters, Brittany, Deann (Bill) Huxtable; sons, Tim (Jen) II, Mark; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, John.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

A celebration of life is planned for a later date. Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Rd., Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131; Humane Society of Summit County, 752 W Portage Trail, Akron, OH 44313
