Vincent H. Ebbing

Vincent H. Ebbing, 81, passed away August 13, 2015.

Born in North Vernon, Indiana, Vincent had lived in Tallmadge since 1977.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired in 1999 with over 20 years of service at Cleveland Freight Lines.  Vincent was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Ralph Huff Post #1092 in Cuyahoga Falls, and the American Legion Post #281.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary; brothers, Robert and Eugene McPherson, Victor, and David.

Vince was a devoted husband, for 53 years, an inspirational and wonderful example as a father for 52 years and a selfless and generous friend his whole life.  No act of kindness was too small or ever overlooked and his tireless attitude towards helping others was a role model for his entire family.  Vince will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Yolanda; daughter, Diane (Cliff) Weidrick of Bath Twp.; sons, Doug (Patricia) Ebbing of Indian Land, SC and Daniel (Donna) Ebbing of Davidson, NC; grandchildren, Michael, Vanessa, Carly, Deborah, Sarah and Grace; great grandchildren, Michael, Jordan, Kyle, Jasmine, Jacob, Maeson; sisters, Ann, Rita and Virginia; brothers, Ray, Leo and Paul and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.

Interment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
