Vincent "Jim" Morreale

September 27, 1957 — November 3, 2024

North Canton

With his loving family by his side, Vincent "Jim" Morreale, 67, passed away on November 3, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Niagara Falls, New York, Jim spent 40 years in his hometown, then two years in Texas, and the last 24 years in North Canton, Ohio. He retired in 2015 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company with 33 years of service, where he held various positions in their finance organization. Jim was a dedicated member of St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton. He was also an entrepreneur, managing rental properties and running Flame Kissed Creations pottery studio with his wife, Diane.

Jim had a lifelong love of sports, passionately supporting the Cleveland Browns, New York Yankees, and Rangers. He was an avid Fantasy Football player and owned Lewiston Sports Cards in Lewiston, NY. Growing up, he tried his hand at football, hockey, and baseball, and in his adult years enjoyed volleyball and bowling leagues with his wife. Though his children chose soccer—a sport he initially knew little about—he eagerly learned and even became a coach, embracing his role with enthusiasm. Jim also shared his passions for video games, board games, comic books, music, and Christmas, making each holiday season more magical for his family than the last.

No matter what life threw at him—from teenagers emptying the fridge to mastering the latest video games—Jim faced it all with a warm smile and open heart. Known for his generosity, he was a friend to all, a helpful neighbor, and always the first to offer a hand. But above all, he was a mentor and a life coach, guiding so many with his wisdom and steady presence. His children and siblings relied on him, turning to him every day, seeking his thoughtful advice and his comforting words.

Jim's compassion and insight left an indelible mark on everyone he touched. Rooted deeply in his Italian heritage, his character and integrity were unshakable, and he held family as his greatest pride. He would want us to carry forward his deepest value, "La Famiglia è Tutto"—family is everything—reminding us to cherish and uphold the bonds he held so dear. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he shaped with love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to those he cherished, especially his beloved wife, his "always and forever." He will be missed beyond measure.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Coram) of 50 years; daughter, Christina (Ian Chiofolo) Morreale of Columbus; sons, Brian (Kelly) Morreale and Shawn (Alexa) Morreale both of Akron; grandson, Ash Vincent Chiofolo; sister, Francine Morreale; brother, Robert (Christine) Morreale both of N. Tonawanda, NY; cats, Spooky, Luna, and his favorite, Kahula (deceased); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
