Vincent Eugene Tassiello

December 24, 1936 – May 11, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vincent Eugene Tassiello, age 88, a lifelong resident of North Hill, who peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 11, following a short illness.

Vincent was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and educator. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Jeanne; his children, Jenee (John) Valle, Jeanne Tassiello, Nancy (Ric) Skidmore, and Vincent (Heather) Tassiello; his cherished grandchildren, John, Shannon, Joe, Kori, Nick, Sammie, Eric, Sarah, Danny, Bella, and James; and his great-grandchildren, Jay, Anthony, Mya, and Claire.

Vincent was a proud graduate of North High School and The University of Akron. He dedicated 32 years of his life to teaching at North High and Jennings, where he inspired countless students. As a coach, he led basketball, soccer and track teams with passion and dedication.

His love of sports extended beyond the classroom. He cherished his many years with the Polish American Club fast pitch softball team and the deep friendships formed with his teammates. Vincent was also an avid golfer, relishing every moment spent on the course with his many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am FRIDAY May 16th at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 83 Moser Place, Akron 44310. Burial at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vincent's memory to St. Anthony Church.
