Virginia M (Martin) Graybeal

Virginia M. Graybeal, 99, passed away March 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 12, 1923, in Sophia, West Virginia to Ada (Stone) and Edward Martin. Virginia was the fourth oldest in a family of 10. She married Howard Carl Graybeal on August 9, 1941, in Raleigh, West Virginia, and they were married for 69 years. They moved to Akron, Ohio in 1960.

She was an active member of Goodyear Hts Baptist Church for 61 years. Family was the most important thing to Virginia. She had a kind soul and only saw the best in people. Those who knew Virginia understood her exceptional love for others and how loved she was by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through all of us who had the honor of calling her Mom, Maw Maw, Aunt, or friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Carl Graybeal; son, Danny Carl Graybeal; her parents, five sisters and four brothers.

Virginia is survived by her children David (Kay) Graybeal, Donna (William) Conley, Debbie (Ed) Uhlir; grandchildren, Jenny (Eric) Walls, Howard Graybeal, Katie (Brian) Eskridge, Daniel (Trish) Graybeal, Ron (Tara) Black Jr, Brandi (Pat) Neman, Shaun (Stephanie) Richardson, Amber (Joe) Warner, Mike (Tina) Conley, Steven Conley, Kathy (Matt) Logan, Brian Conley, John (Sheyenne) Uhlir,  Shelly (Willie) Uhlir, Ed (Katie) Uhlir, Chris (Wendy) Garcia, Dana Garcia; great-grandchildren, David (Dylan), D'Artanyon (Joan), Andrew (Trevor), Mikey, Alex, Bryce, Jacob, Andee, Trystan, Emily, Lucy Virginia, Patrick, Ashley, Brandon, Kyle, Matt, Steven (Erin), Vicky, Ryan, Tim, Lexus, JD, Savannah, Brody, Olivia, Cameron, Ethan; great-great grandsons Chase, Wyatt, and Elijah.

The family would like to thank Summa Home Health Care and Hospice for their care and support.

Visitation will be on Saturday March 25 from 9:00 am -11:00 am at the Goodyear Hts. Baptist Church, 1767 Goodyear Blvd, Akron 44305, followed by an 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Ed Witchey and Rev. Ron Black Jr officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Goodyear Hts Baptist Church, 1767 Goodyear Blvd, Akron, OH 44305.
