Vivian Grace Stevens, 81, passed away on February 27, 2015.
Vivian was born in Grafton, West Virginia, January 17, 1934; a daughter of the late Cecil Snider and Helen (Proudfoot) Snider.
She was a resident of Tallmadge for 54 years. In addition to being a loving wife and mother of four, she was dressmaking and tailoring instructor at The Singer Sewing Company. She expressed her passion for the arts as a volunteer docent at the Akron Art Museum and was an active member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church for 54 years.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack D. Stevens and her brother, Arthur M. Snider. She is survived by her sister, Helen Joan Goodnow of Baltimore, Maryland; daughter, Terri Stevens of Fullerton, California;, daughter, Shirley Cribbs and husband Jerome of Jonesboro, Georgia; son, Ron Stevens and wife Joyce of Phoenix, Arizona; and son, Scott Stevens of Mogadore, Ohio; grandchildren, Kaytlin, Cole, Hannah, and Kyle Stevens, and Morgan Boyko.
Calling hours are Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Avenue (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral service is Monday, March 9, 2015, with viewing at 10 a.m., followed by worship service at 11:00 a.m. at Tallmadge United Methodist Church, 207 N. Munroe Road, Tallmadge. Rev. Dr. William C. Liming officiating.
Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
